No More Masquerade

The authors of the sexy Secrets of Stone series share their faves on everything from Harajuku fashion to shower sex…

What a thrill to be invited to chat with the readers here at Female Talk! Thank you so much for allowing a pair of American "book nerds" in to talk about our excitement for The Secrets of Stone, a steamy romance book series we have written together.

Lots of people ask how we decided to write together. We were friends first, meeting on Facebook first (isn't that how it's done? Ha ha) realizing we shared many interests, such as fashion, music, and-oh yeah-hot alpha romance heroes.

After meeting in person and realizing the friendship clicked in real-life too, we started talking about how we miss the high drama and "OMG" moments of the soap operas we grew up on. You know the kind, where the characters do crazy stuff that drops your jaw on the ground and makes you lose sleep? That was the goal we ran (and wrote!) for, using our love of all the classics like Dynasty and Dallas mixed with doses of more current nighttime drama hits, too.

We're a nutty mix of personality-and somehow it works out super well in our stories. Don't believe us yet? We'll prove it now, by treating you to a wild round of "This or That", the Victoria and Angel version. You can even play along if you'd like!

When you're finished, we hope you will check out the Secrets of Stone books!

Of course, we would be thrilled to hear from you personally, too. Check out our social media links, and don't be afraid to reach out with a big hello!

Is everyone ready? Here we gooooooo…

Roses or wildflowers?

Victoria: Wildflowers

Angel: Wildflowers. I even carried a bouquet of them at my wedding!

On a hero: all-in grin or enigmatic smirk?

Victoria: All-in grin

Angel: The smirk.

Setting: lush tropics or mountain chalet?

Victoria: Lush tropics

Angel: The chalet. I love the mountains.

Fave NON-billionaire: Highlander or cowboy?

Victoria: Cowboy

Angel: Anyone who knows me gets the *scream* of my answer. Highlander!

Christian or Gideon?

Victoria: Christian

Angel: Gideon. GAH, my Gideon.

Wet sex scene fun: shower or bath?

Victoria: Bath

Angel: Shower

Cute plot factor: pet or baby?

Victoria: Pet

Angel: Pet (Victoria wrote in a very cool one for a Secrets of Stone book coming up in 2017…just sayin')

Easier to write: Sassy banter or animal-style sex?

Victoria: Like actual animals? I'll go with the banter

Angel: The sex. For sure. Yep. And by that, I mean just in the general vicinity of hot and lusty.

Easier to describe: Abs & hot ass or *that* hero appendage?

Victoria: Appendage

Angel: Can't I pick both? I like it all. Okay-just one? I'll say the appendage.

Hero in a tux or tight T-shirt and jeans?

Victoria: Mmmmmm tux

Angel: Absolutely the tux

Beyonce or Adele?

Victoria: Adele

Angel: I gotta say Bey

Sherlock Holmes or Jamie Fraser?

Victoria: Is this the Outlander guy? Then him.

Angel: I'm the one who made up this question and now I'm hating myself for it. I can't pick…I caaaannnn't! I love them both.

Leia or Rey?

Victoria: I pick Leia. She's a princess, for Christ's sake.

Angel: Leia. She kicked ass even in that white flowy dress thing.

Han Solo or Indiana Jones?

Victoria: Indiana Jones

Angel: Han. Always Han!

Massage or facial?

Victoria: So not fair to have to choose. Massage.

Angel: Facial. I love them.

1960's fashion or 1980's fashion?

Victoria: Neither. Both were a travesty.

Angel: The 60's. You had everything from classic Dior to hippy-boho. I love the diversity.

Bell bottoms or skinny leg?

Victoria: Skinny

Angel: Skinny-because boots, right?

Harajuku or Goth?

Victoria: Goth. Who doesn't love black eyeliner?

Angel: Harajuku for sure. I'm going to Tokyo soon and cannot wait to see it all in person!

Play along with us! We'd love to know your favorites too. We'd love to hear from you:

Blurb for No More Masquerade:

Behind every good man…is the love of an even better woman.

Those were just pretty words before I met Claire Montgomery. Before my fairy queen burst into my life, I didn't recognize the bastard in my morning mirror, but her love has given me the strength to face the imposter, even embrace him. With Claire at my side, I'm the king I always wanted to be, the Killian Stone I always dreamed of becoming.

Which means for once, I want the mask guarding my secret to stay right where it is.

If you want the grown-up fairy tale…learn to love the dark side.

Profound sentiment. Wish I could get onboard with it, but the prince in pinstripes has other ideas. Life has been a dream since Killian burst into the ball offering the perfect fit-his heart and mine. But the treasures he bestows have become his armor, hiding the man I yearn to know. I refuse to open his little velvet box until he opens himself, letting me see even the dark hallways of his soul.
