Barsham Barns in Norfolk is fast becoming the place to hold a quintessentially English Wedding. We talk to Jenny Dale, the owner and designer of Barsham Barns about their appeal for the bride and groom to be!
Why are barns becoming such a desired place to hold a wedding?
People are looking for a more relaxed way to hold their wedding, without the formality of a hotel venue, where friends and family can spend a bit more time together than just an afternoon/evening.
Why are people still partial to the classic English fairy tale wedding?
The English countryside is the perfect romantic backdrop, traditional and timeless: summer flowers, greenery, old stone churches, candlelit feasts.
What is the appeal of the coast and the countryside?
North Norfolk is beautifully unspoilt with picturesque villages, miles of sandy beaches and rolling (not flat!) countryside.
How can Barsham barns accommodate the boho chic or the classic and luxurious?
We have hosted both kinds of reception: formal marquee with traditional layout of tables, top table, dance floor with disco and also much more relaxed affairs with straw bales round a bonfire and country dancing.
What are the different accommodation options for the wedding party?
We can sleep up to 50 people in the barns with additional guests sleeping in bell tents, hired separately. The maximum we can accommodate for a reception is 80-ish.
